About my Art

Artistic journey

Passionate painter since the age of 12, I was initially influenced by German Romanticism and pre-Impressionists like Corot or Daubigny. Later, my interest turned to the French and German impressionists as well as the Leningrad school.

During the decades that followed, family and professional obligations slowly took over, until 2019, when I suffered a severe burnout. This event required a fundamental reorientation of my priorities and helped me rediscover my true passion, painting.

Self-taught, I only recently started classes with Canadian artist Shoshana Walfish.

Artistic vision

I share with the impressionists my love for nature and for light, the common thread in all my paintings.

But maybe my motivation is more personal: when I go out to paint, I stop where I really feel good and then I try to reproduce my moment in nature in the form of a painting.

For me, these moments are often the first rays of sunshine in the morning, when nature slowly wakes up and I can enjoy the calm and a moment of meditation. This is why you'll rarely see any people in my paintings: I try to capture my relationship to nature in its pure state. In this sense, my vision also incorporates a certain nostalgia.
